The Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) is implementing cost-saving measures to reach a sustainable financial position. Science minister Patrick Vallance and UKRI chief executive Ian Chapman state these cuts pose no risk to government priorities in artificial intelligence and quantum technologies.
