Should Cleethorpes Market Place be pedestrianised as part of the Levelling Up Fund project?

Cleethorpes Market Place is undergoing transformation funded by £4.5m from the £18.4m Government Levelling Up Fund allocated in January 2023. The project, designed by landscape architects Gillespies and stemming from the consulted Cleethorpes Masterplan, will pedestrianise the space by removing through traffic and public parking spaces. Works begin on May 18, following completion starts at Pier Gardens and Sea Road schemes.
