Should the government publish the energy levy control framework announced in the Autumn Budget 2025?

techUK and twelve other organisations have written to the Chancellor and Energy Secretary urging publication of the energy levy control framework. The letter highlights that non-commodity costs on bills, including levies for environmental and social schemes, now hinder growth, competitiveness and affordability. The groups argue that high industrial power prices threaten the shift to electrification needed to reduce long-term gas dependence.
