Should the UK adopt the Climate Change Committee’s Seventh Carbon Budget to reach Net Zero by 2050?
The Climate Change Committee’s 2025 advice sets out how the UK can reach Net Zero emissions by 2050. Current global policies are projected to produce around 2°C of warming by 2050 and up to 4°C by 2100. The advice also stresses the need to adapt farming and other sectors to climate impacts already occurring.
