Should the UK ban new oil, gas and coal licences and reform energy planning rules?

The government plans to introduce the Energy Independence Bill to ban new licences for oil, gas and coal exploration. The bill also proposes reforms to speed up electricity grid infrastructure and planning decisions. A separate Nuclear Regulation Bill would merge regulators into a single Commission on Nuclear Regulation.
