Should the UK government legislate a clear process for a Welsh independence referendum?

The Independent Commission on the Constitutional Future of Wales found enhanced devolution, federalism and independence all viable and affirmed Wales’s right to choose. It called for urgent agreement on referendum conditions, but that call remains unanswered. The May 2026 elections make further delay harder to justify.
