The government has committed to the carbon reduction path recommended by the Climate Change Committee. A CBI Economics report shows £455 billion of energy infrastructure in development across 262GW of capacity. Investment spans every region, with the highest relative importance in Scotland, Yorkshire and the Humber, Wales and the East Midlands.
