You want a Britain that still recognises itself — deports foreign offenders fast, keeps the burka off the street, doubts the case for redefining marriage — but you're no small-state ideologue: you'd tax a billionaire's fortune, fund a National Care Service from general taxation, and even wave Scotland toward the door. It's less contradiction than a settled instinct: culture and borders are non-negotiable, money and the state's reach are up for redistribution.
