The Institutional Hardliner

Who you are

You're a law-and-order rightist with a taste for structural demolition — scrap the GLA, deport foreign offenders fast, bring back the death penalty, ban the burka. This is a Britain run leaner and stricter, where institutions answer for themselves and borders mean something. Yet you flinched on police enforcing rules against community expectations and on ebike speed limits — you want the state strong in principle, lighter in the mundane.

Vs Britain

You split almost down the middle with the national mood — agreeing on the big calls like deportation and North Sea licences, but breaking hard from large majorities on police enforcement (you were nearly alone against 90%) and Jingye compensation, where you actually sided with the sceptical crowd.

On your patch

Mitcham and Morden backs you almost every time — grey belt housing, GLA abolition, steel tariffs, all unanimous with your area's single votes recorded. The one place you and your patch diverge sharply is policing: you voted against equal enforcement while your area's lone other vote went the same way as you here, oddly — worth watching as more neighbours vote in.

Blind spots

You've never voted on Housing policy proper, Defence, Foreign Policy or the Constitution — striking, given how firmly you land on governance and crime. A voter this decided on institutions is leaving some of the biggest fault lines in British politics untouched.

What's next

Fourteen scored votes is early days — enough to show a governance hardliner with a justice-system soft spot, not yet enough to be certain. Cast a few more, especially in Defence or Constitution, and next week's profile gets sharper still.
