The Traditional Guardian

Who you are

You want a Britain that holds its shape: united, culturally confident, and unsentimental about who gets to stay. No to Scottish independence, no to marriage equality, yes to deporting foreign offenders, yes to the burka ban — this is a vision built on continuity, not disruption.

Vs Britain

On most of these you're out of step with a country that voted the other way — Britain said yes to marriage equality by a landslide, yes to devolution more than you'd like, and you still said no. But you're not simply anti-establishment: on the National Care Service, you swung left with 84% of the country, and on banning extremist parties you broke right past most of Britain's caution. You side with the majority about half the time — this isn't reflexive contrarianism, it's a settled worldview that occasionally overlaps with consensus and occasionally doesn't care to.

On your patch

No local data has come through yet on any of your votes — so for now this read is you against the nation, not you against your neighbours. Cast a few more and we'll see whether your patch backs you or breaks from you.

Blind spots

Ten votes, all landing in constitution, rights, defence, economy, immigration and welfare — and nothing yet on housing, health, justice, education, or the economy's harder questions like tax and employment. For someone this decided on culture and borders, the absence of a view on housing or justice is the loudest silence in the profile.

What's next

This is early days — a clear-eyed right-leaning shape with one genuine left turn on care funding, but still thin. Every vote you cast sharpens this: fill in justice or housing next and tomorrow's read will know you far better than today's.
