Is Andy Burnham doing a good job as Prime Minister?
Andy Burnham has been Prime Minister and Labour leader since 20 July 2026, succeeding Keir Starmer after a leadership change triggered by poor local election results. In his first months he has announced plans for a National Care Service, greater public control of water, and decentralising power from London while maintaining a slim parliamentary majority. Recent polling and media coverage reflect divided views on whether his mayoral-style approach is translating effectively to national leadership.

Early days but he's got positive ideas, maybe playing it safe a bit with policies but his intent i think is to do good.
Too early to tell at 11 weeks. His numbers are good relative to Starmer, but that says more about relief than popularity. Reopening the Brexit would is very stupid and pointless. The Google maps gaffe is bad. This non-compete stuff is ill thought out nonsense. The October budget and the winter death toll will deliver the final verdict.
No, he is constantly searching for new areas to regulate, new taxes to collect, not solving illegal immigration, not solving mass immigration, not looking for decrease spending, increase uncertainty by u-turns, his solution for most problems is nationalization. Labour was elected on 34% of votes, 20% of all eligible to vote - it is not a mandate to provide major, constitutional changes he is talking about. BTW a lot of talk a little of walk.
We are all still...alive. . . . (You have to ask this question, every month now, refNation! 🥸)
