Is the United Nations (UN) still fit for purpose?
The UN faces a severe liquidity crisis with billions in unpaid dues, largely from the US under President Trump, who has withdrawn funding from dozens of UN entities and agencies. This has triggered the UN80 reform initiative, cutting the 2026 budget by around 15 percent, eliminating thousands of staff positions, and scaling back peacekeeping. Major powers continue to paralyse the Security Council on key conflicts in Ukraine, the Middle East, and Sudan, while the organisation delivers humanitarian aid to nearly 100 million people annually.

The UN desperately needs reform, the participation of UNRWA in the Oct 7th atrocities show how corrupt and ineffective it has become.
The UN is just a mouthpiece to hate the West and continually bang on about Palestine. Scrap the whole thing.
