Should the Scottish Parliament (Holyrood) be abolished to strengthen the Union?

A petition calling for a referendum on abolishing the Scottish Parliament and Government has surpassed 16,500 signatures, triggering a required UK Government response. A new party, Restore Britain led by Rupert Lowe, advocates rolling back devolution to restore direct Westminster accountability and claims over 11,000 supporters, positioning it as Scotland's third largest. This occurs amid ongoing SNP efforts for a second independence referendum by 2031, with pro-independence parties holding a Holyrood majority despite a 41% vote share in the last election.

That doesn't sound very much like it would do anything to strengthen the Union. Will just alienate the entire nation of Scotland and push further for arguments of independence

At the moment such action would rather amplify Scottish independence appetites. And this should be choice of Scotland. Honestly, I am all for democratic choice, however we had last referendum in that matter in 2014. Probably we need a decade or two to ask the same question again.

It shouldn’t be abolished, but it’s powers should align with other UK regional assemblies, such as London and Manchester

That would have the exact opposite effect of what the question posits.
