The Traditional Realist

Who you are

You want a Britain that spends on defence without apology, holds the line on marriage and gender as settled questions, and still builds houses when the state needs to. It's a values-first conservatism with a practical streak — rights and culture pull you right, but you won't punish yourself by voting against a housing programme or a student loan fix just to stay tidy.

Vs Britain

You split down the middle with the national mood — siding with the majority on six of your ten votes — but your dissents are the ones that count. On marriage equality and transgender identity you broke hard from a Britain (and a small sample, admittedly) leaning the other way, and you rejected proportional representation when three in four wanted it. These aren't drift; they're where you actually live.

On your patch

Gower mostly mirrors you back — unanimous locally on defence spending, housing, transgender identity, and PR — but not on marriage equality, where your area (albeit one voter's worth of data) went the other way. You're not the outlier in Gower; you're closer to its median than to the nation's.

Blind spots

Ten votes and huge open ground — immigration, welfare, the economy, health, justice — sit untouched. Rights is your only category with real weight behind it; everything else here is a single vote standing in for a whole worldview, which is thin cover for a man this decided on culture.

What's next

This is early days — seven scored votes is a sketch, not a portrait. Vote on immigration or welfare next and we'll find out whether your rights-first instincts are part of a wider hard line or genuinely their own thing — the picture gets truer every time you show up.
