Has the Green Party moved away from its focus on the environment?

The Green Party of England and Wales continues to campaign on nature loss as a national security threat, recently proposing a new law to treat biodiversity decline with the same urgency as other risks, while criticising cuts to environmental standards. At its October 2026 conference it broadened its platform under an 'eco-populist' approach linking climate to housing, cost-of-living and social justice, dropped its blanket opposition to nuclear power, and passed a controversial motion equating Zionism with racism that has caused internal division. The party still prioritises renewables but frames environmental goals alongside wider economic and international issues.

The most green part of the Green Party now is the field on the flags of several Islamic countries and the green on the Palestinian flag.

Greens never cared for the environment it’s a hard left syndicated part of Marxism. Never had any viable solutions just hysterical responses to often manufactured issues like AGW & Net Zero. Germany suffered from ‘Atom Kraft Non Danke’ nonsense & it demolished its industrial base. It’s all about promoting a Communist future through a hatred of a free market & people’s individual agency. Its alliance with the Pally lot is more delusional thinking by uncritical blind liberals.

They are almost the only party who push for the environment. But climate policy can't only be "recycle more". Climate crisis affects employment, health, housing, & more. They can't be a one-issue party so their social policies line up well too. The Yes's can be seen slandering them, seething about trans people & Palestine. Trans people just want to live their lives as everyone else, almost the whole world can see that Israel is committing a genocide. The Greens know this. Edited

The Green Party has become a home for misogynist and homophobic trans rights activists, and deeply anti-Semitic racists. Women's righs groups have been banned from their conference and treated appalingly. Its is an extreme far-left party that peddles hate. The environment is an afterthought at best.

The media may only focus on the non-environment aspects of the party, but that doesn't mean that's all there is
