Are the practices of Islam incompatible with the values of the United Kingdom?
UK polls show 40-53% of Britons view Islam or its growth as incompatible with British values or society, citing issues like attitudes to homosexuality, gender roles, free speech and sharia councils. Around 4 million Muslims live in Britain, with most saying they feel British and support integration, while the government distinguishes between Islam as a faith and Islamism as an extremist ideology. Hate crimes against Muslims have risen sharply.

Yes, Sharia Law and many aspects of their religion are 100% incompatible with Western Civilisation as they are stuck in the 7th Century
Anarchic practises, not compatible to western culture which is why they are slowly changing our way of life so that their views will trump ours.
You can take the extremes of almost every religion and say they are incompatible
Real followers of Islam align with many British values. It's the extremists & racists & bigots that are the problem.
I think what this shows is that few people actually have any understanding of Islam, apart from what they are fed from less than honest sources.
You could apply the same thinking to a fundamentalist interpretation of Judaism, Catholicism, or Hinduism. Holding an entire religion of 1 billion people responsible for the actions of individual criminals is nothing short of moronic. That doesn't mean immigration shouldn't be reduced (it should). The UK is a Protestant country by law. We are either tolerant or other faiths or we are a theocratic state, cherry picking is just rank hypocrisy.
Framing four million British Muslims as an alien fifth column is classic divide and rule culture war nonsense. Yes they have different religious teachings, different societal norms but being incompatible? No. I think the vast majority of those who follow the Islamic faith do their best to integrate with society. It's those groups that purposefully do not integrate that are an issue and that is a small minority.
They are absolutely different, this i think does cause issues within communities, however the majority people from Islamic backgrounds whilst following their own customs do try fo integrate within the country and want to live peacefully and respect our customs as well.
Islam - properly understood - is totalising, denigrates the role of women and is opposed to freedom of expression and conscience.
It seems to be fundamentally a way of life incompatible with western society, where status is given to males, women subjugated,dress codes enforced, where cousin/ child marriage is allowed, where men can have several wives.A way of life which permits FGM, ‘honour’ killings , toxic masculinity which makes girls from 9 cover their heads to avoid inflaming male passion.Male ‘passion ‘ which can be diverted to western children seemingly without censure from leaders.No words left
