Should the UK provide £88m in public funding for humanitarian relief and recovery in Gaza?
The UK government announced an £88m package today for humanitarian relief and early recovery in Gaza and the West Bank. It will fund medical consultations for up to 900,000 people, rehabilitation for 1,000 children with blast injuries, clean water for 150,000, waste management for 900,000 and mental health support. This forms part of the £127m bilateral aid budget for the Palestinian territories in the current financial year following a policy reset towards Israel and Palestine.

I'm really sorry for the people of gaza. But until they rise up against hamas why should we give anything because hamas will take it.

YES Simply because British industry has made a fortune out of supplying the depot Likud regimes reign of terror which destroyed Gaza in the first place. So it right we should help repair the injuries suffered by British made munitions!
In reality £88m isn’t going to do anything to fix the UK economy. And humanitarian aid comes with soft power and influence. Ask US how it has been fairing in the world since all overseas aid was cut. There is a reason China has greater power than most of the West and it isn’t just economic strength.
... and put that money into the same hands that corrupted the aid system for decades, using the profits to build tunnels and bunkers?? Scrap UNWRA. Prioritize the rule of Law, and fixing Gaza's failed attempt at self-government.
Probably already spending millions there as it is. I reckon if you added up all the money spent on Gaza by rest of world every Garzian would be a half millionaire.!! Enough.
