Should trans women be allowed to use women’s toilets and changing rooms?
Single-sex toilets and changing rooms in the UK are now to be used on the basis of biological sex. The Supreme Court ruled in 2025 that 'woman' in the Equality Act means biological sex, and the EHRC's statutory code of practice came into force in 2026. The code says trans women should be excluded from women-only facilities, and that providers should make other provision so trans people are not left with nowhere to go. The code does not create criminal penalties for using these spaces. NHS England issued updated guidance on 15 October 2026 applying the same approach to hospitals.

Women public bathrooms a lot more private than mens, men would also be more freaked out about someone looking like a woman entering their bathroom and most of violence towards trans communities is from men.
The lou you use should be the one that matches your equipment, safety of women must come first
The law needs to tighten the definition of trans to exclude self-ID and AGP. Transactivists created so much division (and inevitable backlash) through their own laziness and failure to make this simple distinction, in the first place.
Realistically, transgender people will continue using their preferred toilets/changing rooms/etc, as they have for the past few decades before this hysteria was drummed up. What are you going to do, have a bathroom police?
Most Women are very good at respecting any other human's personal space, especially when it has been made explicitly clear. So any body repeatedly demanding access to any body else's space is toxic. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ P.S. My vote does not 'lean right'. It leans ~4.13 billion (roughly 49.5%) of Planet Earth. Edited
Stop normalising transphobic nonsense. Trans women are women. Trans men are men. Get over it.
The rule is simple - if you have penis you are using gents, if you have vagina - ladies.
If you allow a man to identify as a woman, all protections for women cease to exist (as the Equality Act and Supreme Court judgement make clear). Women need safe spaces, fair sport and equality before the law. Men are welcome to identify as women and should not face discrimination as a result, but saying you are a woman does not make you a woman or grant you access to women's spaces.
I've actually changed my mind on this recently. After listening to biological women talk about their need for privacy and safety in intimate spaces. My view on it is that the Supreme Court and EHRC ruling that access should be based on biological sex makes sense. The best compromise is making sure venues provide separate, dedicated gender neutral spaces (where available) so trans people aren't left with nowhere to go.
The fuck is it with this country and people being obsessed with the genitals of other people???
