Has Israel committed human rights abuses that would justify UK military action?
In September 2026 the UK government under Prime Minister Andy Burnham declared Israel's occupation of the West Bank unlawful, imposed sanctions on settlement goods and arms exports, and faced Israeli retaliation including closure of the British consulate in East Jerusalem. A Labour MP recently called in Parliament for military action against Israel citing human rights abuses. The UK maintains intelligence cooperation with Israel on Iran threats while restricting military ties.

No. Israel is defending itself from a aggressive terrorist organisation backed by Iran. If anything, military action to help Israel defend itself is justified. Any MP who says this should be stripped of their title and cast out of the House.

I do not believe we are able to any military action overseas at the moment. Especially with "enemy" as strong military as Israel. As a general rule, the UK should forget about being world police force and focus on domestic issues. We can't protect our border and we want to fight a war 1000s miles away? We are like toothless dog, all we have is barking.
They murdered our soldiers in the 40s, backed the Argentines in the Falklands War, entangled our Royals with the agent Epstein. We invaded Iraq and Libya for far less.
