Should Andy Burnham adopt radical cost-of-living policies if he becomes prime minister?
Andy Burnham is being urged to pursue an economic populist strategy to tackle the cost of living crisis. A seat-by-seat poll by Persuasion UK indicates Labour could fall below 100 seats at the next election under current policies. The same research shows a cost-of-living populism platform could deliver Labour 358 seats and a 66-seat majority.

Pursuing populism will not create a sustainable economy. Government should consider re-acquisition of natural monopoly utilities but run on 'profit for purpose' lines and well regulated pricing. Gov contracts should actively favour UK firms
I've gone no here, as someone from greater Manchester, in reality, what Andy Burnham has done here is spearhead growth, the fruits of that are massively showing around here now and that's really the best way to make people better off.
