Should the government publish a modern services framework for 24/7 palliative care?

The government has committed to publishing a modern services framework on palliative care to improve access, quality and sustainability for all ages. The pledge responds to a March 2026 House of Commons report on services for children and young people. The response notes that local integrated care boards can already commission out-of-hours dispensing where needed.
