Should the UK adopt a whole-systems approach to plug its electricity gap?

The UK government is focusing on reducing emissions, lowering energy bills and ensuring energy security through electrification as central to decarbonisation. The electricity grid is not currently equipped for the demands of widespread decarbonisation despite solar and other renewables.
