Should the UK government fund two new university AI research labs with £60m?

The UK government has allocated £60 million via UK Research and Innovation to establish two foundational AI research laboratories led by the University of Oxford and University College London. The announcement increases an earlier March plan that proposed a single lab with £40 million.
