Has the level of misogyny in the UK risen over the last 10 years?
Recent 2026 reports document widespread online misogyny, with 25% of women and 38% of 16-24 year-olds experiencing it according to EVAW and Refuge polling, prompting government taskforces and school programmes. Overall violent incidents against women have fallen 33% in a decade per ONS data, though harassment reports have risen; some long-term surveys show declining traditional misogynistic attitudes among men since the 1990s.

I live in a rural area where women don't take any nonsense. My wife is respected by her colleagues. That said, she was respected in the 1980s in an office with Page 3 calendar girls on the wall. I hope this is yesterday's war.
I genuinely don't think there has been a rise. I believe it has always been as high if not higher than presently reported but as a consequence of higher reporting and public visibility online, we are exposed to the violent and precarious reality most women face everyday in British, western, and global society. We may also have a confluence, through migration, of women coming from abusive cultures who are enabled in Britain to report it, though this would need to be studied
Women have been sacrificed on the altar of men;'s rights, silenced, bullied, threatened, harassed,, sued, arrested and sacked, by or on behalf of the trans lobby. And still it;'s as though almost no one in the establishment is llistening,
Not sure where the statistics are taken from but rape offences grew substantially from roughly 32,000–36,000 range in mid-2010s to reaching a peak of 74,700 by 2025/26. Misogyny is raising as we are importing millions men from countries or cultures where misogyny is a daily normal.
