Should Nigel Farage be investigated by the parliamentary standards commissioner over his meeting with the Bank of England governor?

Yes 65%No 35%31 votes cast

Nigel Farage met privately with Bank of England governor Andrew Bailey to urge him to drop plans for a state-run digital currency. Reform UK's major donor Christopher Harborne has profited significantly from cryptocurrency. Labour MP Phil Brickell has reported Farage to the standards commissioner for potential breach of parliamentary rules.

A clear if not overwhelming verdict: 65% of the 31 who voted backed referring Nigel Farage to the standards commissioner over his Bank of England meeting, a 30-point margin that reads as a rebuke rather than a rout.

The generational pattern is the sharpest thing in the data. Every under-25 voter and three-quarters of 25-34s said yes, while the 55-64 group — the platform's largest bracket here, at 10 votes — split exactly down the middle, 5-5. Support cooled steadily with age until a late uptick among the small over-65 cohort.

Gender told a duller story: men and women landed within four points of each other, both comfortably yes, suggesting this was read less as a Farage-versus-establishment tribal fight and more as a straightforward question of parliamentary propriety and crypto-adjacent lobbying. That the split falls by age rather than by the usual Reform-versus-rest gender gulf hints voters were weighing conduct, not politics.

The 55-64 deadlock is the tell: even those most sympathetic to Farage's politics couldn't agree he was in the clear.
