Should the UK government invest more to attract and train workers for subsea cable infrastructure?

The UK government, industry and academia met at BT Tower to discuss developing the skilled workforce needed to build, install, maintain and protect subsea cables that carry global digital and energy connections. Minister for Digital Economy Baroness Lloyd and The Crown Estate’s Gus Jaspert opened the event highlighting the need to inspire the next generation for this critical but low-visibility sector.
