Should the UK impose further sanctions on Israel and ban trade in goods from illegal settlements?

Andy Burnham, expected to become the next UK prime minister, has called for stronger pressure on Israel over its actions in Gaza. He criticised the UK's initial slow response to calls for a ceasefire and advocated for further sanctions on those involved in violence in Gaza plus a ban on trade with illegal settlements. The current UK government has already imposed some sanctions on far-right Israeli ministers and recognised a Palestinian state.
