Should Parliament approve major energy projects directly and limit judicial reviews?
The UK government plans to let Parliament approve nationally significant energy projects and restrict judicial review challenges. It also intends to let smaller energy schemes apply straight to the Planning Inspectorate, bypassing local councils.
