Should the NHS adopt its new Quality Strategy to prioritise patient safety, effectiveness and experience?
NHS England has published a new Quality Strategy for NHS-funded care in England. It aims to make quality the central focus by prioritising patient safety, clinical effectiveness, patient experience and tackling health inequalities, with priority areas including cancer, cardiovascular disease, severe mental illness, and maternity and neonatal care. The strategy delivers a key commitment from the government's 10 Year Health Plan.
