Should the UK government overhaul police leadership recruitment and promotion?
A landmark review by the Police Leadership Commission found police leadership in England and Wales is not consistently high enough standard. The report recommends reformed recruitment, promotion processes and an ethical reset amid low morale, excessive paperwork and declining public confidence.
