Ireland’s Advisory Committee on the Restitution and Repatriation of Cultural Heritage has recommended establishing a national panel to assess claims for Nazi-era and colonial objects held in public collections. The committee also called for new legislation and state funding for provenance research. The report was presented to the Irish government earlier this month.
