Should the national inquiry into grooming gangs be widened?
A statutory Independent Inquiry into Grooming Gangs began work in April 2026 following Baroness Louise Casey's 2025 national audit. It is examining institutional failures in protecting children from group-based child sexual exploitation across England and Wales, with initial local investigations in Oldham, Bradford, Keighley and London plus national accountability hearings scheduled for late 2026. Over 800 prior recommendations have been identified but implementation has been inconsistent.

As a survivor myself we do not need more inquiries, they dont help survivors. The enquiries done show there was services that let them down. They have now implemented measures to safeguard. More inquiries are point scoring politics and only touch incidents that happened 10+ years ago and action has been taken since to protect children. Now we need to develop them recommendations.
Absolutely yes. This whole situation stinks to high heaven and needs further investigation bigtime. It's a very serious matter that needs addressing.
