Should the UK suspend its NATO membership whilst Donald Trump is President?

The UK maintains deep NATO membership and intelligence-sharing ties with the US through Five Eyes and UKUSA agreements. Strains have emerged during Donald Trump's second term, including UK suspension of some Caribbean intelligence cooperation over US strikes, concerns over US actions in Iran and Greenland, and MI6 efforts to diversify partnerships and reduce reliance on Washington. Prime Minister Andy Burnham has reaffirmed the UK's unwavering commitment to NATO amid calls for higher European defence spending.

This is being proposed because people do not like Donald Trump. What happens when his term ends? We run back cap in hand and beg for a place again? Those in charge here will not be happy until this country is no more.

We're lucky that our NATO membership hasn't been suspended. Mandelson, China embassy, Islamists awash in our government - we're a security turkey.

Rebuild relations with US in 2029. Keep good relationship with NATO with the threat from Russia
