Can Andy Slaughter effectively serve as Solicitor General after meeting Hamas in 2010?
Andy Burnham has become UK Prime Minister. He has appointed Andy Slaughter as Solicitor General, a role with wide power over decisions related to terrorist organisations. Slaughter met with Hamas in 2010 and is accused of harbouring sympathy for the group.

Yes he should.. Talks not guns brings peace! I'm old enough to remember Mo Mowlem meeting the leaders of the Provisional IRA, she's now respected for being one of the politicians who had a massive part in bringing peace to NI. As an ex soldier I understand combatons fight & politicians talk. At some point a war must end & peace follows. That is acheaved by having peace talks, to do that politicians & military leaders from both sides must meet each other.
When I think of all the things I’ve done and positions I have taken over the last 17 years, redemption is definitely possible. What are his positions NOW?
Capable people with long careers have done all sorts. Were he currently backing them I'd think differently of course, but talking and even understanding are not supporting
