Should the government continue its early prisoner release scheme?
The UK government is releasing some prisoners earlier than their full sentence to ease the prisons crisis. Victims and survivors often learn of these releases with little or no notice unless enrolled in the victim contact scheme. Supporters argue it allows community supervision and corrects inflated sentence lengths while opponents say it harms victims' sense of safety.
